Cantina di Paolo e Francesca

Remember the passion between Paolo Malatesta (said to be Paolo the Beautiful) and Francesca da Polenta (better known as Francesca of Rimini) – A passion broken with blood. Among the possible scenarios of the crime, whose lives were consumed at the turn 1283 and 1285 at the hands of Giovanni Malatesta (Gianciotto the hunchback) belongs also Santarcangelo. A nomination put forward in 1853 by Monsignor Marino Marini, prefect of the Vatican archives. This cave is private and used only by the restaurant.
